Office of Evidence and Assessment
The office of evidence and assessment is the main source of scientific evidence and advice on Ireland’s environment. We collect accurate information to provide reliable and meaningful assessments of our environment. Such information is available to the public, stakeholders and policymakers to help them make informed decisions.
The office is split into three areas. The water management programme, the environmental evidence programme, and the climate change programme.
Water management programme
The water management programme delivers its services through the following activities:

- Bathing water assessment and reporting (Beaches.ie)
- Groundwater monitoring and assessment
- Water quality reporting
- Water levels and flows
