Incident at Oxigen Environmental, Coes Road, Dundalk, County Louth, Waste Licence W0144-01– Tuesday 14th June 2022

The EPA received notification from Oxigen Environmental, Coes Road, Dundalk, County Louth on 14th June 2022 at 11.15 pm of a fire at the licensed site. EPA staff from the Office of Environmental Enforcement, Dublin are attending on-site today to investigate the incident and take samples if required.   The EPA is liaising with the Fire Services, Louth County Council and Irish Water.

The EPA received notification from Oxigen Environmental, Coes Road, Dundalk, County Louth on 14th June 2022 at 11.15 pm of a fire at the licensed site. The EPA conducted a site visit and took samples to investigate this incident and to identify what corrective actions need to be taken at the facility.  The licensee was instructed to undertake measures to restore compliance with the conditions of the Waste Licence.   The site inspection report once completed will be available on the EPA website.

EPA staff from the Office of Environmental Enforcement, Dublin continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
