There is no legislative provision for public participation with respect to Class 1 GMM activities or GMO activities.
On receipt of a Class 2 GMM application, the Agency may - at its own discretion - require the applicant to place an advertisement in a newspaper circulating in the area where the proposed activity is located, informing the public of the proposed activity and inviting representations from them.
