EPA Research Scholarship funding opportunities

The EPA is also providing funding for PhD scholarships via several types of awards: 

• Under its strategic partnership with the Irish Research Council (IRC)
• Under the EPA Shared Costs (50/50) PhD Scholarships Scheme, which was piloted in 2018 and 2019; as well as 
• Indirectly as part of its larger project-based awards – whereby the lead applicant proposes that the research team will include one or more PhD students.
