Project Abstract
EV Batteries are often retired while over 85% of their nominal capacity still remains � the failure of 1-2% of cells causing the rest to be unaccessable.
DACS has developed a control system to allow efficient reuse of such packs by replacing and enhancing their connective loom. These packs can now be returned to service, remotely managed and interfaced.
Car companies support this use as it also reduces the carbon cost of production of these batteries � currently standing at 250kg carbon per kilowatt hour of battery storage � DACS has the potential to halve this cost.
