Project Abstract

An extensive analysis of all aspects of low flows in the Western and South-Eastern RBDs will be carried out using the most recent advances in stochastic and fuzzy modelling. Then an ANFIS model will be developed to derive flow duration curves at un-gauged sites using catchment characteristics as inputs. Water quality status will be assed based on modelled load duration curves. The resulting ANFIS models of the flow and load duration curves will be used to evaluate the impact of climate and land use changes on water resources and aquatic ecosystem. In addition flood frequency analysis will be conducted using both the at-site and regional methods.
