Project Abstract

Successful implementation of the project will result in the prevention of 5000 kg and the reuse of 14,000 kg of fish waste per annum for IFC. The project will protect up to 15 existing jobs in an unemployment blackspot, with the potential of a further two jobs. Increased operational effectiveness will result in a reduction of 2% in fuel and 5% in electricity. Landfilling of fish waste will be eliminated. IFC will share results with other businesses, particularly from fish processing. It will promote the results through his website, its supplier/customer base and through fora, such as the Origin Green.
