Project Abstract
To research, develop, publish and disseminate a resource pack for community and voluntary organisations on the implications of climate change for the groups they work with, and strategies on who they might engage with the climate change agenda. The project will consist of desk research compiling the latest information and analysis on Climate Change into an accessible format for community organisations working with the most vulnerable in society disadvantaged women, people with disabilities, older people, Travellers and other ethnic minorities, long term unemployed, disadvantaged rural and urban communities, etc. This information will then form the basis of 3 participatory regional workshops with local community groups providing them with opportunities to explote the implications of Climate Change for them and possible strategies for them to engage with Climate Change.The desk research and the proceedings of the 3 workshops will provide the raw material for a publication ? Strategy Guide on Climate Change Implications and Strategies for the Community Sector?. This publication will be published, launched nationally and widely disseminated.
