This Advice Note sets out EPA guidance on the actions that are necessary following the detection of E. coli and also the preventative measures that should be taken to improve the security of the supply to prevent a repeat failure in the future. This is done in the context of compliance with the current lead parametric value of 25 μg/l and the parametric value of 10 μg/l, which will be effective from 2013.
