Undertaking research on climate change issues is essential to understand the impacts that global warming may have on our planet. Climate Change Research also helps to address what measures will be needed to adapt to these impacts and how we can mitigate against the effects.
The Climate Change Research Programme (CCRP) is directed at addressing specific knowledge gaps of direct relevance to the National Climate Change Strategy prepared by the Department of Environment Heritage and Local Government.
