The Air Quality Index for Health  is calculated every hour and tells you if air quality is good, fair, poor or very poor in your region. The above index is for overall air quality in the Dublin City AQIH Region. You can find out if air quality is likely to affect your health and what you can do to protect your health on the Air Quality Index for Health page.

The Pearse Street site was at the junction of Pearse Street and Westland Row, inside the grounds of Trinity College. Measurements were carried out from 16/07/1999 to 15/12/1999 and 06/04/2000 to 13/07/2000.

Monitoring was done using a mobile unit containing continuous monitors for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and benzene. Continuous samples were also taken for particulates (PM10) and lead.
