EPA Prosecutes Quinn Cement Limited (P0378-03)

On 13th of February 2020, the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Quinn Cement Limited, Scotchtown, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan for breaches of its Industrial Emissions Licence P0378-03.

Quinn Cement Limited were found guilty of breaching Condition 5.1 of its Industrial Emissions Licence P0378-03 on the 5th of October 2018 in that, emissions to air at emission point reference number A2-01 exceeded the emission limit value for hydrogen chloride as set out in Schedule C.1.1 of the licence.

Judge McLoughlin convicted Quinn Cement Limited. He imposed a fine of €2000. Agency costs were also awarded.
