EPA prosecutes Rosderra Irish Meats Group, (P0180-02)

On 28th July 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Rosderra Irish Meats Group, Carrick Road, Edenderry, County Offaly at Tullamore District Court, County Offaly.

Rosderra Irish Meats Group pleaded guilty to breaching a condition of its Industrial Emissions Licence - P0180-02 by:

  1. Failing to comply with Condition 5.2, in that they failed to ensure that the activities were carried out in a manner such that emissions of odour did not result in significant impairment of, and/or significant interference with amenities or the environment beyond the installation boundary from the 28th of March 2018 to the 13th of June 2018.

After hearing a summary of the evidence Judge Brennan convicted Rosderra Irish Meats Group on the above charge and imposed a fine of €1,000. Agency costs were also awarded.
