EPA Prosecutes Glenmore Generation Limited (P1004-02)

On 4th March 2026 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Glenmore Generation Limited, Glenmore Estate, Aghaveagh, Ballybofey, County Donegal at Letterkenny District Court.

Glenmore Generation Limited pleaded guilty to breaching a condition of its Industrial Emissions Licence P1004-02 by:

  • Failing on or about the 8th of August 2024 to comply with the provisions of Condition 5.1, in that emissions to air at the licensed site at Emission Point Reference A2-2 (Odour Control Stack) exceeded the Emission Limit Value (ELV) of 1000 OuE/m3 as set out in Schedule B.1 of the said Licence.

Judge Daly, having heard the evidence convicted Glenmore Generation Limited and imposed a fine of €3,000.  Agency costs were also agreed.
