Decision

On 27 September 2011, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted consent, subject to specified conditions, to Professor Samuel McConkey, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, to carry out a clinical trial on patients to assess the safety and immunogenicity of a new malaria vaccine, using two genetically modified micro-organisms, at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, from September 2011 to December 2012.
