Behavioural Insights is a foundation of the EPA’s Circular Economy Programme, providing evidence to inform behavioural change interventions and to inform awareness campaigns.
Plastics play an important role in everyday life, but their production, consumption and disposal can have significant environmental impacts. Understanding public attitudes and behaviours relating to plastics and plastic waste helps identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary plastic use, increase reuse and recycling, and support the transition to a more circular economy.
The EPA contracted Ipsos B&A to carry out the following study: National attitudes and behaviours survey 2019-2021
