EPA prosecutes Waterford Crystal

On 16 July 2004 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Waterford Crystal Limited at Waterford District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to:

• Breaching limits set in the licence for discharges to sewer and air.

• Failing to provide adequate bunding for storing tank and drums.

The court imposed a fine of €1,000 for each of the three charges.  Costs totalling €5,602 were awarded to the Agency.
